Barony of North Woods Page
We are honored and excited to be chosen as the next Baron and Baroness of North Woods. Odo and Dulcinea have kept the Barony safe and strong for the past 5 years, 5 months and 5 days. We hope to continue with many of their traditions and create some new traditions. We have watched the joy and enthusiasm Odo and Dulcinea have displayed at every North Woods event and at every recognition for the people whether it be a dragon’s treasure or a peerage. We hope the love we feel for North Woods and for the SCA will be apparent to all.
We would ask that the current champions continue as baronial champions until we are able to name their successors. We are planning to choose our heavy fighter champion at Squire’s Tourney as well as our rapier champion. Next year, when Tyger Hunt returns, we will choose our rapier champion there. Smurf shoot will give us an opportunity to choose an archery champion. Champions for any youth positions will be chosen at It Takes my Child to Raze a Village. We will have an A&S champion. We are discussing where and when.
We are planning on attending every event and some of the meetings of each group throughout the year. Please come and talk to us. Let us know what you are doing. Be prepared for us to talk to you! Please let us know what your group is planning and when your meetings happen.
In a concerted effort to get to know everyone we are creating a database of the populace. We would like to get to know everyone so we would like all of you to fill out the populace information sheet.
We will make many plans. Gwenllyen will write many lists. Max will wear his stripy socks. As events happen, we will go with the flow, just make sure we have our coffee.
